High Speed Doors | Insulated Doors | Enershield Air Barriers | HVLS Fans | PVC Strip Curtains
Conserving energy is a huge concern for any competitive, modern business. This is not only to help drive down your ever increasing energy bill, but also to appeal to increasingly savvy modern customers.
According to research, 95% of people say the environment is important to them and 4 out of 5 people now buy environmentally friendly products. This shows that companies cannot ignore the importance of being an environmentally friendly company and one of the best ways to do this is to cut down your energy consumption.
How Much Energy Are You Losing Through Your Industrial Doors?
We have calculated that as much as 14% of the heating or chilling bill for your workplace could be flowing freely out of your building from the continual opening and closing of industrial doors.
This calculation could be even more if your employees are choosing to leave the doors open instead of continually opening and closing the doors. This is a problem for a lot of industries, but our many years of experience means we are able to work with you to find a solution to suit you and your budget
Some of Our Most Common Energy Saving Doors:
High Speed Doors
These doors have short opening and closing times which reduces airflow to the outside environment, resulting in less heating or cooling being required to maintain the internal temperature of the building.
Insulated Sectional Doors or Roller Shutters
These doors seal all around and use insulated panels, so have excellent thermal properties, reducing the amount of heated or cooled air escaping when the door is closed.
PVC Strip Curtains or Crash Doors
This is a low cost, simple alternative to other energy saving door solutions, though they do have a shorter lifespan due to wear and tear.
HVLS Fans
These are large, High Volume Low Speed Fans which can be used to channel heated air, which rises naturally, downwards so that it is not wasted in the empty roof space of larger buildings.
An Enershield Air Barrier or “Air Door”
This creates a “virtual door” by re-circulating ambient air and forcing it across an opening to create up to a 90% seal. The seal separates the atmospheres on either side and stops the transfer of temperature, humidity, dust, odours and insects. With just a draught of air creating the barrier, vehicles and pedestrians can pass without obstruction.
